Brief overview of the purpose of this mini-site, focused on comparison.
It has been created to facilitate the identification of fake Nike Tuned 1 (also called TN "shark").
Small clarification on the definition of "fake TN" here: All TN1 not produced by Nike are considered fake.
Note: Sellers of fake TN use the pretext that they are original and are made in Nike factories => This is FALSE (like their pair). In all cases, they will be made with cheap materials.
Fake TN1 "shark" also have a pronounced smell of low-end "plastic".
If you notice any errors, please contact me via the form that I will put online shortly (or via the forum where you saw the link).
A small addition, highlighted by "AirmaxTNCostla" => "lace quality is also lower on fakes: thinner and less "padded" than on genuine ones".

DESCRIPTION/INFO

On the fakes, we can clearly see on the tongue that the reflective strips are not aligned unlike the genuine ones. We also see that the Nike logo is "fake". The front shell is less resistant on fakes. It is also very likely that this reinforcement shell will not hold (poor quality glue), if it doesn't hold, you know what to expect).
Small zoom on it, we can clearly see that the logo doesn't take up all the space like on genuine ones. The seams are made "hastily" on fakes, the work is less careful.
To be taken with caution: The top of the tongue is no longer rounded on the latest models. However, it can happen, in recent models, and especially on older models, that the tongue has this rounded shape.
Still the same area, slightly different viewpoint, we can easily see on fakes that the logo is bulging, on genuine ones, it's "flat" (it doesn't make a bump anyway)
Here, quite a few small details. First the seams, the junction (framed at the top) is not neat on fakes, both on the seam itself and the junction, just look at a genuine pair to see the difference. Secondly, we can talk about the front bubbles. Generally smaller on fakes, light passes through less easily on fakes. Note: When you look at the bubbles in the light, being in front, you should have the same number of "gaps" (see where the arrows point) Finally, the last major point on this photo, rather unexpected during recovery, we can distinguish that the sole of fakes is plastic (with the flash, it came out lighter, comparing with genuine ones, we see the difference. The plastic absorbed part of the flash, hence the lightening) The front of the sole is also thicker on fakes than genuine ones (see Zoom 3). A zoom of the bubbles is now available (Zoom 4), sorry for the quality of photos for fakes, but they are of poor quality and don't let light pass as well as genuine ones.
Well, here, it's mainly to show the seams, more careful on genuine ones.
Here we can clearly see on fakes, the back is "rounded" in general, as well as the rear logo, all this is not the case on genuine ones.
Here, more general information. TN1 don't have defined soles, they change depending on the model, which is less the case on fakes, they often use the one shown in the photo.
Here, it's more a matter of observation. Look at the arrows, then, and compare between fakes and genuine ones. (2 zooms available: Zoom 1 => Central part; Zoom 2 => Top part). For those who don't have a "sharp" eye, we can notice that fakes tend to be less straight than genuine ones.

This zoom was made after noticing a small detail. If we look closely at the "studs" of the rear bubbles, we notice that on fakes, they are less well aligned compared to the sole than on genuine ones. PS: Also note the thickness of the lines on the sole (bottom images, the 3 small lines)
To be noted too: The "studs" on the outer sole (4 in this photo) depend on the size you own. There will be 4 if the size is strictly less than 44 EU (10 US / 9 UK), otherwise, 5 for sizes strictly greater than 43 EU (9.5 US / 8.5 UK).
